3 Reasons Why I'm voting for Obama

Taxes:
One of the reasons I would vote for Obama is because of taxes. Obama will provide a tax cut for ninety-five percent for working families. This means that if an American makes less than a quarter a million dollars a year, then thier taxes will not go up. If an American makes two hundred dollars a year, or less, than their taxes will go down. McCain wants to give a three-hundred billion dollar tax cut. Two-hundred of it to the largest corporations and one-hundred billion of it to CEOs. Also under George Bush's tax cuts, 31% of the tax cuts were given to the wealthiest 1% of Americans. McCain said he voted against Bush tax cuts. But under McCain's plan, 58% of tax cuts will go the wealthiest 1%. I want a President that supports tax cuts for the middle-class because most of my family and alot of people in the country are middle-class. For McCain, he lowers taxes for the wealthy Americans which I don't like. Our economy has been bad the last eight years because of George Bush's tax plan. Obama would give three times more from his tax cut to the middle-class than what McCain would give. McCain does not support permanent repeal of the estate tax, a major goal of the taxpayer movement. McCain has told reporters off the record that he would raise taxes if elected President. Whenever Obama would attack McCain in the debates about tax cuts, McCain would talk about tax cut facts that led us to a bad economy, or he would try to talk about something that did not do with tax cuts but with the economy to avoid talking about tax cuts.

Iraq:
I like Obama's plan because his goal is to get soliders out of Iraq. Obama's plan is to give his Secretary of Defense and military commanders a new mission in iraq: ending the war. Instead of making our American soldiers fight, Obama will get our troops our of Iraq and then train the Iraqi security forces to fight against any terrorist and maintain peace in the middle east. Bush spent too much money for our army to fight in iraq. Even Army Chief of Staff General George Casey said that today's army is out of balance and too much money was spended on our military forces. McCain does support Bush about fighting in Iraq. In the media, McCain even said himself many times that he supports Bush's idea of sending troops to Iraq. I would vote Obama because he wants to get troops out of Iraq. Even though Bush and McCain say it is good to send troops in Iraq for peace and to get rid of terrorism, Bush spent too much money for the military and McCain supports his plan. All the money that is going to Iraq could be money to help our economy and impove our country. Another reason why it is a bad idea to send troops to Iraq is because there are alot of casualties and loved ones that die. Obama wants to save money for economy and not for war. Obama in one of the presidential debates said, "..we are currently spending ten billion dollars a month in Iraq when they have a seventy-nine billion dollar surplus.." . Then McCain responds, "We're sending seven-hundred billion dollars a year overseas to countries that don't like us very much. Some of that money ends up in the hands of terrorist organizations..." When I heard McCain say that, I did not like what he said because seven-hundred billion dollars is alot and can be used for our economy and if some of that money ends up in the hands of terrorist organizations, then I don't even know why they sent that money. The terrorist organization could use that money to build nuclear bombs which is dangerous to our country and the rest of the world.

Healthcare:
McCain wants to pay for his healthcare plan by taxing our healthcare benefits for the first time in history like George Bush. McCain also wants to pay his healthcare plan by making cuts in medicare, $882 billion worth. McCain has opposed medicare and voted against protecting medicare forty times. Obama will lower costs for businesses by covering a portion of the catastrophic health costs they pay in return for lower premiums for employees. Obama will pay for his $50-$65 billion health care reform effort by rolling back the Bush tax cuts for Americans earning more than $250,000 per year and retaining the estate tax at its 2009 level. Obama will make sure that the healthcare plan will cover all americans by making it affordable and accessible. Millions of Americans that don't have health insurance, will have health insurance available to them. Also Americans that wait in line to see a doctor will not have to do that anymore. I like Obama's plan because many Americans are suffering from sickness and are dying. Obama wants to improve the country by improving the healthcare. I would vote for Obama because he cares for our country and will change the way people will be treated when they are in need of healthcare.
